About This Job:
This dynamic position plays a critical role in ensuring success of the Cross Platform Custom team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data analysis and have a basic understanding of media data infrastructure. They will have direct impact at driving business strategies for prominent industry leaders to help them understand the performance of their content and advertising. You will analyze media data, diagnose potential issues, design process improvements, and collaborate across different functional teams. Self-motivation and strong communication skills are must haves. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, team centric environment with shifting priorities, vague requirements, and rapid iterations. You will need to be comfortable taking risks.
About our team: Were a small but powerful team of data experts that work every day to deliver custom solutions to our clients. We use SQL and many other tools every day. We work across the company with other teams to help clients answer tough questions and make business decisions using all comScores data assets to their fullest potential.
What You'll Do:
Help clients solve new problems and better understand audiences and their advertising efforts.
Responsible for established and reoccurring custom analysis projects and effectively continues deliverables and client communication through completion of project
Understanding core products by researching industry trends, knowing the base data used in all delivered reports, and keeping track of current and potential clients.
Ensuring all deadlines and responsibilities are met.
Effectively understanding and conveying the business issues and data challenges of both internal and external clients, as well as the industry as a whole
Performs QA checks on custom work created by team. Troubleshoots data collection issues
Translating questions and problems from clients into an analysis and solutions.
Utilizing current industry trends in order to create new analyses and products that are useful to clients.
Successfully coordinating between multiple internal teams and third-party data vendors to create and fully realize a new product or suite of reports.
Meeting with external clients as needed.
What You Need :
Bachelors degree in a quantitative subject such as Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, etc.
1- 3 years experience in data analysis and problem solving with big data.
Experience with SQL or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data.
Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment.
Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
The nature of the teams dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned.
Preferred (but not required):
Experience with hands-on coding from scratch
Experience with panel data and/or Internet behavior data
Experience with television data.
Media Measurement industry experience
Proficiency in popular scripting languages like Python, R, Pig etc
